Last night after my International Criminal Law seminar I noticed some spectacular scenes from the Old North Bridge, as you know my camera does not reside very far from my side. It is getting quite cold here in Scotland and I even purchased my first scarf ever this afternoon. I was sick for about 10 days and fell a little behind on my reading, but have been working diligently to get caught up. Luckily the week after next is a catch up week here at the University of Edinburgh and is part of the Gordon Brown legacy. Brown was I believe the only student to hold the post of Rector of the University and that was due in part to political connections and a willingness to campaign hard. Brown had become very famous for being the first person to have an experimental eye surgy performed at the University Hospital. Brown lost one eye when very young to an odd illness and almost lost his right eye when he was hit by a tennis ball. The surgeons rebuilt part of the lense and were able to move some tissue and vessels to save the eye. Recently advisors to the Prime Minister have become worried that the increase in reading and late nights due to a political mutiny crisis, a banking crisis, and a fishing industry territorial battle, that his one good eye is showing slight vision problems.
I am considering venturing to Italy, Spain, and France for the holidays, as I have friends in all three states who said they could find a place on their parent's floor for a sleeping bag.
