Bob Hislop for Colorado

Candidates for public office should stand on their reputation, experiences, and ability to positively effectuate change for the future.

Reputation is measured by trustworthiness, honesty, dependability, integrity and morals appropriate of an elected official. In other-words, what would candidate X’s friends and neighbours have to say about him or her?

Experience is defined by the traits and qualities that an elected official brings to the table. A past career should represent the epitome of service to our great country, as well as show success in business with an understanding of balance sheets, budgets, and concerns from both workers and employers.

The ability to positively effectuate change is the sufficient condition to the previous two necessary conditions. In other-words, can candidate X be a good leader and be able to achieve goals and objectives?

Only one candidate in the GOP field for Colorado House District 54 has met all three tiers of this test.

Bob Hislop has a reputation of impeccable character and in his first career; he was entrusted with the task of protecting the life of the President of the United States. His reputation is quantifiable knowing that every three to five years the United States Secret Service (USSS) conducted a full background check for renewing security clearances.

Hislop’s education and experiences include a Bachelors in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration, but much more impressive is his service in the USSS, protecting 5 different American presidents during his 20 year career. In his other career, as a vice president with Paul Mitchell – a hair and skin care product manufacturer and distributor, which retails to over 100,000 salons in the United States – he greatly contributed to increasing the company’s profits by over $700 million per year.

Through his experiences and reputation, Bob Hislop has demonstrated he can take ideas and actually move them from paper to implementation. His positive, optimistic outlook on life, along with his charismatic persona will go far in advancing Hislop to leadership positions within the Colorado General Assembly.

It is for the above stated reasons that I encourage my fellow Western Coloradoans to support Hislop and vote to send a dedicated 24/7/365 work horse to Denver!
